Prof. Rada Dinkova from the University of Food Technologies, Bulgaria will join the Malta Polyphenols 2019 Congress which will be held in Malta on September 30 - October 1, 2019.
Prof. Dinkova will give a presentation entitled "Polyphenols of Bulgarian oil-bearing rose (Rosa damascena Mill.): Recovery and potential applications in food industry".
Bulgaria has a significant role in essential rose oil production, a highly prized product used in perfumery, cosmetics and pharmacy. The focus of the presentation is the characterization of the phenolic compounds of Bulgarian oil-bearing rose (Rosa damascena Mill.), the enhanced recovery of rose petal polyphenols using enzyme-assisted extraction and their potential applications in food industry, including fruit, milk and meat processing.
