Can Xanthohumol Protect the Brain? From Neuroinflammation and Critical Illness to Cognitive Decline
We are pleased to welcome Prof. Wojciech Dabrowski as a speaker at Polyphenols Applications 2026, taking place on October 8–9 in Málaga.
The main goal of the lecture will be to present the potential and documented pathomechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases of the central nervous system in relation to the mechanisms of action of polyphenols. Based on his clinical experience, he will present the effects of xanthohumol on neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction. He will also discuss the current scientific evidence supporting the protective potential of xanthohumol and other polyphenols, as well as key questions that remain to be answered before these findings can be applied clinically.
