Tannins 2025: Advancing Structural Analysis, Chemical Modifications, Bioactivity Profiling and Applications

Dr. Marica Engström from the University of Turku, Finland, will join the Polyphenols Applications 2025 Congress and give a presentation entitled “Tannins 2025: Advancing Structural Analysis, Chemical Modifications, Bioactivity Profiling and Applications.”
Dr. Engström will explore the analysis and chemical modification of tannins, with a focus on using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify their structures and composition. The effects of chemical modifications on the stability, solubility, and bioactivity of tannins will be discussed, broadening their pharmaceutical applications. Additionally, some of the diverse biological activities of tannins will be covered.
