Polyphenols for management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): recent advances in clinical research
Professor Hermans from University of Antwerp will talk about "Polyphenols for management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): recent advances in clinical research" at our 18th World Congress on Polyphenols Applications 2025 wich will be held in Malta on 2-3 October.
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is the most common paediatric neurocognitive behavioural disorder. Evidence of neuroinflammation and oxidant-antioxidant imbalances in ADHD offers potential for polyphenols in ADHD therapy. During this presentation an overview of clinical studies with polyphenols on ADHD will be provided. A particular focus will be placed on French Maritime Pine Bark Extract, a patented polyphenol rich herbal extract from French maritime pine (Pinus pinaster), which has been recently studied in ADHD treatment.
