Professor Tuohy is internationally recognized for his work on gut microbiology, nutrition, and the interaction between dietary polyphenols, fibers, and the gut microbiome.

Professor Tuohy's lecture will address a central question for the field: How does microbial metabolism transform polyphenols and fibers into bioactive signals that influence inflammation, gut barrier function, cardiometabolic health, and systemic physiology?
