Congratulations to Jean-Paul Joseleau from Groupe Berkem for winning the Best Poster Presentation Award (2) at Polyphenols Applications 2024! His innovative research on “BERGENOL®, A Novel Vegetal Virucidal Agent for Hand Sanitizer Formulations” introduced a breakthrough in plant-based, alcohol-free sanitizers.
Derived from Vitis vinifera, Bergenol® demonstrated outstanding virucidal activity against a range of viruses, including those from the coronavirus and adenovirus families.
This recognition highlights the growing importance of natural, sustainable solutions in human hygiene, offering a safer alternative to chemical-based disinfectants. Well done to Dr. Joseleau for this achievement!
