Open Call for Polyphenol Research Proposals
The aim is simple: provide seed funding + well-characterized Iprona research material so that promising ideas can move into real experiments.
The 2026 program includes:
- 2 Research Seed Grants of €2,000 each
- standardized Iprona extracts for the selected projects
- 1 Iprona Innovation Award of €1,000
Projects may focus on ElderCraft® black elderberry extract or CherryCraft® tart cherry extract, with topics including microbiome, healthy ageing, immunity, inflammation, recovery, metabolism, mitochondrial function, bioavailability and other new applications. In vitro, ex vivo, in vivo, mechanistic, metabolomics and translational studies are welcome.
This call is especially relevant for postdocs, early-career researchers and young investigators who have an original question and need initial support to generate pilot data.
The call is open worldwide to researchers from universities, hospitals, research institutes and recognized scientific organizations. Early-career researchers are particularly encouraged to apply.

Selected projects will be announced in January 2027, with the possibility to present results at Polyphenols Applications 2027.
A small grant can be the first step toward a much bigger project.
