Polyphenols of Bulgarian oil-bearing rose (Rosa damascena Mill.): recovery and potential applications in food industry

Rada Dinkova Malta Polyphenols 2019Prof. Rada Dinkova from the University of Food Technologies, Bulgaria will join the Malta Polyphenols 2019 Congress which will be held in Malta on September 30 -  October 1, 2019.

Prof. Dinkova will give a presentation entitled "Polyphenols of Bulgarian oil-bearing rose (Rosa damascena Mill.): Recovery and potential applications in food industry".

Bulgaria has a significant role in  essential rose oil production, a highly prized product used in perfumery, cosmetics and pharmacy. The focus of the presentation is the characterization of the phenolic compounds of Bulgarian oil-bearing rose (Rosa damascena Mill.), the enhanced recovery of rose petal polyphenols using enzyme-assisted extraction and their potential applications in food industry, including fruit, milk and meat processing.
