Micellar Formulations Enhance the Post-Digestive Solubility and Bioavailability of (Poly)phenols
Dr. Jan Frank, from the University of Hohenheim, Germany, will join us this year to present a talk entitled “Micellar Formulations Enhance the Post-Digestive Solubility and Bioavailability of (Poly)phenols”.
The bioavailabilities of (poly)phenols are determined by their digestive stability, absorption in the small intestine, their subsequent biotransformation, and distribution in or elimination from the organism.
Different strategies targeting some of these processes have been developed to enhance the bioavailabilities of (poly)phenols, but only a few have been successful.
Dr. Frank will present his most recent findings on successful formulation strategies to enhance the oral bioavailabilities of (poly)phenols in humans and on the potentially underlying mechanisms of action.
